Over the past 20 years the Navy has quietly emerged as a leader in Quality of Life programs to protect the Navy's greatest assets and investment, its highly trained and motivated personnel. The Navy's financial education delivery system - a model program - focuses quite successfully upon prevention and empowering people to remedy financial problems. Research and experience has shown that Quality of Life issues, particularly financial issues, have a major impace on the operational readiness. To treat financial concerns and to prevent them, Commanding Officers want an effective Command Financial Specialist. Workplace financial education is effective. It reduces employer costs, improves job productivity, improves retention, strenghtens loyalty, and enhances workers' quality of life.
