Numbers- Increase in Number of Employees Asking HR for Help with Financial Issues 
In a 2008 survey of 329 human resources and employee benefit managers found growing interest from employers in offering financial education to their employees. Specifically 39% of the business managers surveyed reported an increase in the past year in the number of employees asking HR for help with personal financial issues. 26% reported an increase in the number of employees who had their wages garnished by debt collection agencies and 20% reported an increase in employee advances on pay.
